Monday Before Christmas On Church Street

Mayor Kiss walked by without throwing anything into the hat. He stayed on inside track with his entourage. They ignored the less fortunate. It sorta felt like they didn’t want to look.

People gave as they could.

Jesse and April were there, looking moonfully at one another.

Then they kissed.

Larry always has a place.

He does ok.

Joe had some place to go. “Do I get a dollar for this photo?” Then he told the new guy, “no faces…. The Duck don’t like faces.” It was too late.

Bought him two bags of cheap tobacco. “We need some wet beds. The drunks burned the last place down…. Not everyone wants to have a home or be sober all the time…. Lots of people looked after Paul. We take care of one another.” The new guy didn’t roll, so he had

Cowboy. “We speak no evil. Haven’t lost our humanity…. That guy who stopped the mugging is cashing in on his deeds. Not right. Any one of us would have done the same thing. Think we want to see people getting robbed on the street?”
