Hadassah Burlington VT – Chai Tea

Hadassah of Burlington, VT, Sara Frank Chapter, celebrated Chai Tea at the home of Suzanne Brown in Shellburne. Kosher Katz, an A Capella group from the University of Vermont, sang three tunes, adding melody and nachas from the next generation of powerful Jewish women.

Tea was poured.

A Presidential message.

Honoring Chai Society, chapter benefactors.

A raffle.

Stella, 98 years old, heralds the past, present and future state of American Judaism and the satisfaction of contributing to Tikkun Olum.

A prayer from Rabbi Jan.

And too much cake and crustless sandwiches. So, what else is new?

  1. We all had a great time. Nice to see so many women with such different interests and backgrounds all coming together for fellowship and to support Hadassah and Israel. I used every tea pot I had in the house, but it was well worth the effort. Now, on to more meetings and maybe having a life long member, Dorothy Woodrum, speak to the club about her best selling book, In My Mother’s Footsteps, a book about her hospice nursing experiences.

Good sedar to all. Suzanne Brown

Wishing everyone a Sweet and Happy Pesach,

  3. Wonderful photos! Helps me to feel as if I was there. Looks like the event was a great success!
Your other photos of people on the street are incredibly powerful and full of emotion. I’m glad I scrolled down to see more of your work.

  4. Lovely photos of a lovely event. I am delighted that it was so well attended and now, so beautifully documented. Hope that Hadassah goes from strength to strength – and to every corner of VT. Volunteering for Hadassah is a great ‘mitzvah’. Thanks to all who make this event such a success.
