The Art of Laura K. Winterbottom and Lorin Duckman

I met Laura’s art at the SEABA office gallery during art hop. To visitors, the pictures are just some images to be liked or disliked. To her family and friends, they are her statements about life, creative outbursts that survive her; gifts that she will give in spirit. To me?

When I looked for the location of my photographs for Art Hop in Burlington, I noticed the names of the artists with whom I would share the space. In the same gallery that my stuff would hang, Laura K. Winterbottom’s would also be shown. I knew her during my legal, law life. We had a personal, some would say intimate relationship, one of which she was completely unaware, but one which had a profound impact on my life. Now we meet in our creative lives. I don’t do law, anymore, right now.

How much I know about her. But not like this.
